Some of the most common questions we receive are listed below.  If you don’t see your question answered here, please send us an email using the Contact Us page, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

How do I join?

Drop us a line on the Contact Us page and indicate that you’re interested in being part of our group.  If you could add some information about how long you’ve been playing the flute, if you play in other groups in the area, and if you play more than one kind of flute (and which ones!) that would be helpful.  Our director will respond to your query as soon as possible and arrange an audition date for you.  She may ask you to prepare a short solo to play for her, and you may also be asked to sight read during the audition.

Can I hire you to play for a private event?

You bet!  We’d love to play for your event!  Email us using the form on the Contact Us page and let us know what kind of function you’re planning and when and where it’s going to take place.

We love coming to your concerts and after-concert receptions, and we’d like to donate to your group.  How do we do that?

Thank you for thinking of us!  We ask our audience to donate at our concerts in order to help offset our costs.  Our suggested donation is $5 per person. At the present time, we are unable to accept credit cards.  We are a non-profit organization (501c3), so your contributions are tax deductible. Our Employer Identification Number (EIN) is available upon request, and, of course, you will receive it for your own records on your contribution receipt. Your donations will help us purchase a contrabass flute so we can expand our repertoire and our skills. We borrowed the contrabass pictured below from our friends in the Pikes Peak Flute Choir, and we look forward to purchasing our own with the help of generous donors like you. Please access the Contact Us page and learn how you can donate to the Rocky Mountain Flute Choir.
